Welcome to RSPCA Bournemouth, New Forest and District branch.
RSPCA Bournemouth, New Forest and District branch is a local charity run by a committee of volunteers. We operate a welfare clinic providing affordable veterinary care for pets whose owners are on limited income.
During 2011 we treated 2611 animals: 1550 dogs, 956 cats and 105 rabbits, small mammals and birds. 171 animals were neutered and 120 were microchipped.
We also treated 21 wildlife animals & where possible they were released.
If you wish to rehome an animal please visit the RSPCA National Society website for animals available for adoption.
News/Information
Birds need water to drink & to bathe in. In winter their feathers must be kept clean to keep them warm & protect them against harsh weather. Keep the water clean to avoid disease, keep it ice free.
NEVER put antifreeze or salt in the water. They will appreciate grated cheese, stale cake, cooked rice & bacon rind.
